Protein Description
IL-11 is a multifunctional cytokine produced by genetic cells such as fibroblasts, epithelial cells and osteoclasts. It is represented in multiple organs, including thymus, lung, bone, connective tissue and central nervous system. IL-11 stimulates the growth of bone marrow, red blood cells and megakaryotic progenitor cells, thus playing an important regulatory role in the process of hematopoiesis. It also regulates bone metabolism, inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, and prevents gastric mucosal damage.
